The institute is affiliated to
The Jammu & Kashmir State Board of Technical Education (JKSBOTE).
All its long-term courses (Three Year Diploma Courses) are approved
by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) with a fixed
intake capacity for each department.

Admission to Diploma Courses. |
The Admission to all the long term courses is done
by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations
(BPEE) purely in order of merit in the secondary
school examination. The minimum academic qualification
required for admission to all Diploma courses is
secondary school level with 50% marks in aggregate.
The candidates with the highest merit gets admission
in this institution. Rest of the candidates are
send to other polytechnics of the State. BPEE has
established a counseling cell for providing assistance
and guidance to the candidates in selecting the
appropriate course.

Admission to Diploma in Computer
Engineering. |

The admission to Three Year Diploma in Computer Engineering
is purely in order of merit in the Joint Entrance Examination
conducted by BPEE each year in the month of June or July.
The minimum required academic qualification is Hr. Sec.
Part-II with 50%marks in aggregate.

Technology & Wood Technology.

The admission to Diploma in Leather Technology and Wood
Technology is done by the counseling cell of the institute
on the basis of merit in the secondary school examination.

The maximum age limit for admission to all the long term diploma
courses is 23 years. 50% marks in aggregate in the minimum
academic qualification examination.

with disabilities. |

Persons with disabilities are given relaxation in age and
percentage of marks and total of 25 seats are reserved for
them in various courses.
